Experience

Mr. Soden is a land planner, urban designer, and landscape architect with a focus on the design of new communities that are innovative, environmentally sensitive, and economically viable. He has over twenty-five years of professional experience advising and working with private developers and public agencies on the creation of master-planned communities, mixed-use urban infill, and resort developments. Mr. Soden has worked on projects throughout Arizona and the desert southwest, ranging in scale from regional plans to project site design and construction detailing. Several of Mr. Soden’s projects have won awards from the Urban Land Institute, American Society of Landscape Architects, and the American Planning Association. Mr. Soden also has experience as an associate member of the Planning and Landscape Architecture faculty at Arizona State University, where he taught courses in site design, ecological planning, and land use ethics. In addition, he is a former member of the City of Scottsdale’s Development Review Board.
